Together, we are opening a pathway to a community without barriers.

2015 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Which means twenty-five years of removing barriers and empowering people.

In honor of this important occasion, we are proud to introduce Oakland For All: Beyond Accessible. This program is focused on ensuring that Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood is fully accessible and welcoming to all who live, work, and visit here. Our projects include raising awareness among business owners about physical barriers at their entryways and creating apps and others technology for wayfinding support. It is our hope that together we can transform Oakland into a model community that advocates for the creation of user-friendly buildings, commercial establishments and public spaces.

Oakland For All promotes accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities. We invite you to use this website as a guide to better understand the need for accessibility and how to open a pathway to a community without barriers.
