ADA 30th Anniversary Events:

Thirty years after the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 2020 marks an important milestone in the ongoing efforts to remove barriers and empower people with of all abilities. In honor of this important occasion, we are proud to be hosting several events in July 2020 to help continue our fight for the full extension of rights to the disabilities community across civic, social, and economic life. Check out all the events we have scheduled in July.

July 24 Virtual Town Hall & Discussion

This year's events include a Virtual Town Hall & Discussion on July 24 to review the state of ADA in our region along with leadership, policymakers, and stakeholders; a week-long opportunity to view the ReelAbilities Film Festival (seven short films created entirely by people living with intellectual disabilities) in partnership with Film Pittsburgh; and a Virtual Happy Hour to give community members and advocates an opportunity to make connections, share experiences, and discuss the films.

Past events:

Oakland For All's annual programming includes a history of community events like our annual Ramp Crawl in Oakland designed to raise awareness of the ongoing need for accessibility and equity in our communities while building stronger ties with the community through the age-old tradition of a pub crawl. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will be will not be assembling in Schenley Park this year, but are continuing the event's tradition virtually by bringing us together on July 24th and 25th for the Virtual Town Hall and Virtual Happy Hour.
